What tools do you have in your own life to use for creative writing? How do you understand conflict in the stories you write? How does memory and imagination work in the writing of fiction? What images do you carry in your imagination (family photographs as one example) that can help you write fiction. I believe writing fiction helps us understand our own truths in ways we have not considered before. Over the semester, we will test these ideas through the craft of writing fiction.
