This course will introduce you to modernism as an international movement, and to American modernist literature specifically, with a focus on literature and the visual arts. This class will often meet with a course on modernism in the Art History Department taught by Dr. Nell Andrew, scheduled at the same day/time, so expect a substantive Art History as well as Literature component. We will introduce students to research in the field of modernism through a project at the Special Collections Library, and will often make use of primary resources at the UGA Libraries and UGA art museum.
