This course will focus on the memoirs and autobiographical poetry of contemporary American writers of color. Students will write two essays, make one multimedia group presentation, and participate in selecting and voting on one memoir for all of the members of the class to read and discuss. The tentative line-up is below. I will insert more information about the final books I order for the class after midterms.
