ENGL 6999: Professionalization is a job placement course.  In the course, you will learn about the academic job market and other careers in the humanities. You will learn how to read job ads, learn and practice interviewing strategies, and create a portfolio of materials that you can use to apply for positions.

If you are a 4th, 5th, or 6th year graduate student intending to apply for jobs in Fall 2020--whether academic positions or humanities careers more broadly--you must register for this course to receive institutional help for your search.
