Writing fiction is like learning to live inside a dream, one thought leads to another. However, the art of editing harnesses the energy of a sprawling dream into a work of art: fiction. Our class will focus on writing and editing three 10 pages stories during the semester. We will read from authors like Joan Silber, Ethan Canin, Louise Erdrich, Ocean Vuong, and others.
