Readings in Recent Environmental Literature and Criticism   Description    This course will explore concepts of the anthropocene, climate breakdown and the non-human in a series of recent literary texts and criticism, with a part focus on intersections between the environmental and the blue humanities.   Authors will include Alexis Pauline Gumbs, Emily St John Mandel, Barry Lopez, Renee Gladman, Amitav Ghosh, Jeff Vandermeer, David Haskell, Rick Van Noy, and Rose McLarney. I will also provide registered students with copies of the majority, if not all, of the books, depending on budget. I’ll share that information in due course.       Meeting   My email is the easiest way to reach me outside class, na@uga.edu.
