In this course, students will learn about the academic job market and other careers in the humanities. You will learn how to read academic job ads, first-round interviewing strategies, how to have a successful campus interview, and how to negotiate job offers.  Most importantly, you will create a portfolio of materials that you can use to apply for academic positions.

 

This course is only open to students who plan to graduate next year (2025-2026).  Students must register for the course to receive departmental support for their job search.
